Temperatures will be in the 90s and the National Weather Service in Portland has put Southwest Washington and much of northwestern Oregon under a heat advisory from 2 p.m. Saturday through 8 p.m. Monday.
The agency said the the Interstate 5 corridor from Eugene, Ore., to north of Thurston County in Washington will see “unseasonably warm to hot conditions with maximum temperatures in the mid 80s to mid 90s. Minimum temperatures generally dipping into the mid 50s to lower 60s early each morning.”
All of Clark County and parts of the Columbia River Gorge are included in the advisory.
The heat risk is particularly high Sunday in the Portland-Vancouver area.
The Puget Sound area is also expecting hotter than average temperatures.
